All About Eucalyptus

There are three types of eucalyptus oil:

- Eucalyptus globulus (Blue Gum Eucalyptus) is a classic eucalyptus that inspires deep breathing with its foresty (is that a word?), vaporous, camphor-like aroma. It's a mainstay aroma for clarifying bath preparations and body applications. (This is the one we stock at this time.)

- Eucalyptus radiata (Narrow-Leaved Eucalyptus) is a gentler and greener scented version of the classically camphorous blue gum eucalyptus aroma. Narrow-leaved eucalyptus offers a softer, milder aroma. It's great for kids and people who are more sensitive to powerful aromas.

- Eucalyptus citriodora (Lemon Eucalyptus) has a camphorous aroma that takes a back seat to a distinctly lemony, lemongrass-like aroma, making it a wonderful addition to room mists, skin care oils and lotions. Lemon Eucalyptus is a great protecting summertime oil, great for outdoor use.

QUICK TIPS:

*To make a simple DIY chest rub, combine 3 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil with 1 teaspoon skin care oil and gently massage onto chest.

*To purify and humidify your airspace, simply place 10 drops of Eucalyptus EO in a pan of simmering water on the stove.

*To freshen and purify drains, dispense 2-3 drops of Eucalyptus EO into drains and run water for a few seconds.

Let me know how you like to use your favorite essential oil!
